Hi everyone,
first time posting in the infertility groups rather than TTC 😔. We’ve been properly trying for 6 months, but off BC for 16 months and DTD unprotected. We have a son (20 months).
Both me and my partner are 34. We conceived our DS after 2 cycles.
We decided to do some testing and my OH sperm count has come back at 3.5 mil. We are both in shock as obviously our son was conceived with no issues! It has also come back with possible signs of infection. He has done another sample to test for infection further, which we are waiting to hear about.
Bascially I just need some advice - do we carry on trying naturally or look at IVF? I just feel because we already have our son there is obviously a chance, but we are also not getting any younger.
Is there anyone in a similar position or has been previously?
My partner is very healthy, doesn’t smoke, drinks occasionally. However he does cycle and I wonder if this is where the issue stemmed from.
Looking for a bit of a support network here, as it all feels quite isolating.
