Hello, hoping someone can help me.

We have been referred to gynaecology department, and we now have a telephone consultation booked. It will have been 5 months since referral.

What usually happens next? And how long does the process take from the consultation please? I know different areas will be different, but just looking for some guidance as not getting anywhere with the doctor

Thanks so much

Have you had any tests done? I don't have a call booked yet with my fertility referral but we have heaps of tests that all need to be done as part of the referral so I'm guessing where I am they do all the tests first then book the appointment! It's so different everywhere it seems.

Yes, I've had bloods done and husband has had 3 SA. We haven't been asked/offered to do anything else before being referred

@LilyPoppet1 interesting - so I have the referral in place, but the tests are required before any treatment plans are discussed so I guess that's why they've asked me to get them done. This was bloods, semen analysis and then also an HSG and internal ultrasound for me.

Yes, that would make sense, we've had the tests. I'm trying to understand what the consultation will be like and then what happens
