IVF Fertilisation results

Hello.

I had my first ever egg retrieval yesterday. I got 5 eggs collected. Have had the phone call today, and only 1 had fertilised.

Has anyone had this situation or similar and ended up with pregnancy?

I feel so disappointed by the results, I am really worrying now that the 1 good egg won’t make it to day 5, So if anyone has any positive stories that are the same or similar, I would really really appreciate them

That was my experience exactly. I had 5 collected and by day 3 we only had one successful fertilisation. They transferred that one on day 3 and I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant.

Not me personally but my bestie had a cycle, only one embryo fertilised and she now has a very happy one year old x

Just wanted to post in case anyone ever comes to look at this post for reassurance, my one little embryo made it to day 5, and I am now 5 weeks pregnant 🥹🥹
