Hi
My partner did a private test.
Many aspects came back ok..
However the issue - reduced morphology

Any positive stories of people having a child where the male has reduced morphology

Thank you

We had similar. My OH had like 0% normal morphology when first tested.
He’s been taking impryl, cut alcohol, reduce caffeine to 1 coffee a day, started running and no hot baths. It has improved significantly as a result.

it’s not straight forward the relationship between morphology and fertility tbh. We have convinced three times so far (one child, two miscarriages) and currently doing second round of ICSI but I also have very low ovarian reserve.

my partner has low morphology and we’ve been trying for nearly two years. He also has issues with ejaculation during sex so we’ve been using the home insemination method - I’ve tried them all. I probably wouldn’t waste your money if I’m honest. Namely also if you can conceive the regular way, just do that! If not, look on Amazon for sterile cups and round head syringes. There are loads of thread on here about at home insemination btw.
Good luck with everything though x

My partner had low morphology and took proxeed and within three months - his results were well above the cut off point.

I'd recommend proxeed. - expensive but worth it.

Yes absolutely!!
Tested my husband's sperm before starting TTC because I just wanted to know the facts, rather than realise we've got issues only after a year of trying. So effectively he did his test the very same month we started TTC, he did it after my fertile window so as not to interfere with timings of when we should have sex. His results come back a few days later, 2% morphology, I'm very sad, thinking of options but in the meantime, as I'm clearly not pregnant with his terribly shaped sperm, I continue to go out for drinks with him, with my mates etc. Period never arrived. Turns out I got pregnant that first month. 2% morphology.

Another positive story - same husband. When ttc for a second child we retested his sperm, still 2% morphology. After a few months of Impryl and eating super healthily (lots of veg, no red meat, no drinking, 2 cups of coffee max) it went to 5% : still not high, but within the normal range. We still haven't conceived our second, but a positive story in that his % morphology more than doubled.

Weve learnt - always do more than 1 test
