Eggs to Embryos this week?

Hi, just wondering if anyone else is going through the rollercoaster of phone call from embryologists this week?

We had egg collection yesterday, 6 eggs, waiting to hear this morning about how many fertilised.

Hoping for transfer on Saturday if there's an embryo...

In case anyone else does check in, we had 5 fertilised overnight, so feeling pretty happy with that.

Must stop googling drop off rates.... lets hope for 5 embryos by Saturday!

@RunningOnHope Not going through this at the moment, but been there. I often think this bit is the hardest bit emotionally. Best of luck for Saturday

Hiya. Yes, I had egg collection on Friday only got 1 and waiting for a call tomorrow to see if it made it to blastocyst. There’s a whole load of us in similar position we’ve just started a second thread as the first one is full:

@runni@RunningOnHope I have just had 8 collected 7 excellent and one good, we are waiting for the dreaded call tomorrow see how many fertilised, it's awful going through all the stims and ops for them to drop off, I feel your worry

@camelinastorm that sounds real positive, fingers crossed for that phone call tomorrow!! How are you feeling now? Was this your first egg collection?

Hi @RunningOnHope this is my second I feel slightly bloated tender but all good off for food to celebrate

I had my last call yesterday! We had 12 fertilised eggs which turned into 6 blastocysts which I'm really pleased about. It's such a nerve wracking time. Feeling superrr depressed 1 week after egg retrieval too. 😫 Wishing you all the luck 💕

Not just now but I’ve been there. 6 retrieved, 3 fertilised, resulting in 2 day 5 embryos. Embryo 1 FET 2018 - baby boy born 2019. Embryo 2 (poorly rated) FET 2021 - baby girl born 2022. Wishing you the best of luck. It’s such a tough ride x

Update from me - my 1 egg made it to day 5 blastocyst, was transferred yesterday so now just the dreaded wait to see if it sticks!

6 blasts is amazing @giaTTC!! Are you having a freeze-all then or have you done a fresh transfer?

Thanks @MayBaby22 so encouraging to hear positive stories. In a past round we had 4 blasts none of which ended up as a baby so struggling to be optimistic that our five fertilised eggs could lead to a child.

Our clinic didn't do a day 3 update so we just rock up for transfer on day 5 tomorrow and see what we've got..!

Unfortunately a freeze all as I had signs of OHSS. So frustrating but I suppose it's for the best! Very pleased with 6 though!

@RunningOnHope our clinics the same no update until I turn up on Monday morning scary times, but like they said there is nothing that can be done about drop off, so they see it as less stress

Good news here, of the five fertilised eggs we have 4 lovely embryos.

So one 4BA on board then in the freezer will be another 4BA and two 4ABs.

Feeling positive and hopeful...

2dp5dt and my other half is determined we're not testing until OTD this time. I don't know if I can bear it.!

@RunningOnHope hi, so we got to the clinic yesterday and had 3 high grade embryos 5aa s and 5ab (was 5aa initially but they changed it somehow last min) transfer went very well, was quite delayed so a long day (something before me took longer ) but back home resting up, have my injections and eating Avocados 😂
