Hi , I’d like some advice please , I’m on day 5 of stims and went for the scan , I’m worried because one ovary has 18 follicles and the other only 3 ? Why is it like this ? Does it affect egg quality because there is so many in one ovary squashed together vs the other ovary with only 3 ? Thank you for reading and if you have any experience , please throw it my way xxx

I had the same with my recent stims – drs were unconcerned, think it’s just normal.

With normal ovulation you also have one ‘lead’ ovary.

Had 16 mature eggs collected so afaik no impact on development.

If you're concerned ask your clinic – they should hopefully be able to put your mind at rest. Good luck!

Normal! I’ve done 5 egg collections. The body naturally swaps sides each month. I usually got more on a lefty month than a righty one but that’s a me thing.
