I finally got my formal PCOS diagnosis after having suspected PCOS since I was 16! I'm extremely grateful for the diagnosis but it feels like I'm walking the plank some days. I'm 50 days late on AF and TTC without periods or regular cycles is so incredibly difficult and until my partner gets tested and I have some repeat bloods - I have to continue to deal with the potential of not getting pregnant until I can get my gynaecologist referral. It's all very isolating and sad for us right now but I needed to share to lift some weight off my chest

Thank you for reading x

Hey
I also have pcos
Finally officially diagnosed last month

I highly recommend hertility health
150 gbp
Many tests - they look at approx 10 things 4 the female
Including amh..

Also
NHS wise -
Ask gp to do the below if they havent yet prolactin,
Vit d ,
Feretin,
Thyroid,
Shbg
Free androgen
Testosterone

If your free androgen is high - take myo inostol
Gynae told me to take it
Its aiding weight loss

If your shbg is low - walnuts will help rise it - gynae told me

Your feretin maybe low - often in pcos - cycles are extra eratic when feretin is low

Hi,

I also suspected I had PCOS since I was 16, and finally got my diagnosis last week, so we sound very similar! (I’m also relieved that someone finally listened to me but annoyed it took so long)

I just wanted to give you some hope. Me and my partner started TTC beginning of this year thinking it would take ages/may need IVF or something. We got pregnant on cycle number 2 and I’m now 13 weeks.

My advice is use ovulation strips, it doesn’t matter how infrequently you ovulate but as long as you do ovulate and catch it, you have every chance! That’s what we did anyway. I wish you all the best :). X

@Daisychain27 We've been trying for around 10 months with no joy 😞 I've not had a period for around 50 days now which is so annoying but even though we'd not been trying a year - I knew something was wrong and how can they expect me to try with no periods? So I went to the dr and she did my bloods - (already had ultrasounds from a couple of months ago) and I'm doing a repeat but my results checked out PCOS. We're just waiting on my partners swimmers test and then we'll get referred over - I just want my damn period to show up 😂 Congratulations though lovely - you deserve it ✨♥️

I know how annoying it is when your cycle is so long and you’re thinking “hurry the heck up!!”, because it feels like you then have far less chances each year than the average person! Totally get that. Do you know you’ve ovulated this month yet though? If you haven’t had a period you could still be in for this cycle? When I conceived I ovulated on day 23 or something like that, so that would have been a 37 day cycle- not as long as your current one but way off average!

Hopefully your partners swimmers get the all clear and they will consider something to make you ovulate regularly and get your cycles shorter and more regular, and you’ll be good to go. I know it’s easy for me to say but I do really think you’ll absolutely get there . Sending good vibes to you x
