Private tests while waiting for NHS referral

Just looking for some advice on whether I’m able to seek out some private tests while waiting for my NHS referral. I’ve already had an MOT at a private clinic and my husband has had SA on the NHS (all normal) and I’m getting impatient with NHS waiting times. I think the next step would be further investigations for me and possibly HyCoSy. I’m considering getting this done privately but if we end up needing IVF I want to stay on the NHS waiting list. Has anyone taken a hybrid approach like this? I’m thinking surely the NHS would be happy that I’m taking the strain off slightly but don’t want to damage our chances of funding later down the line. Grateful for any help!

I also done many tests privately, including an HyCosy. The results were used by my NHS hospital. A lot of the bloods tests/semen sample were redone via the NHS as they needed up to date results.
However, I do know that different areas have different protocols. Might be worth giving them a call and asking the question.
Good luck

I did exactly that too, NHS were quite happy to accept all my private results and it didn’t affect our eligibility at all.

check your local health board’s assisted conception funding policy if you’re worried though. One of our eligibility criteria was not having has two rounds of ivf already via private or nhs routes. That’s all it says about private interventions.

Its good to get NHS to test -
Prolactin ,
Vit d ,
Feretin ,
Progsterone 7days after ovulation,
Thyroid
Etc

Privately -, hertility health
Very thorough
Amh and much more - 150 gbp.
Highly recommend

Randoxhealth will do progsterone for 30 gbp...

My partner has a super drug in depth sperm test to do. Normally costs 180 gbp but we got a 10 percent discount code..

Fertility clinic will do his sample test again anyway

We asked his gp to do a full blood count 4 him
