Average cost of immune protocol with Gorgy ££

Can anyone advise on the average total cost of seeing Dr Gorgy or Dr Sheata and having a full immune protocol, including consultations, full testing panel and likely treatments such as IVIG, LIT, immune suppressing meds such as Tacrolimus, humira, hydroxychloroquine?
I appreciate the cost is individualised according to what each person requires but I’m looking for a ball park figure to work out if this is something I can afford before blindly heading down this route and realising my money has run out whilst in the middle of treatment!
Ive had 4 miscarriages, the last 3 from DE, and I have two autoimmune conditions so I am pretty sure I will need a full immune protocol for my next FET. I have tried the usual prednisolone, clexane and intralipids and this still didn’t work so need to up my game, if my budget allows.
Any input/estimation from your own experience would be gratefully appreciated.

I also need a full immune protocol. I would post this on the FB group "Reproductive immunology Support". Women from several countries sharing their protocols and the costs with their RI. I see a different one so my information is not useful.

@Olivie12 Thank-you for your response, I am a member of this FB group so will have a look through pervious posts there and see if I can get a bit of an idea from others experiences.
Thanks again.

@Rubyroo1984 Thank-you so much, I don’t know why I didn’t think of checking the website, I will take a look.

@PositiveThinkerAlways in know you’ve only recently asked this, but I am on the same boat and after 11 rounds and multiple failed transfer I would like to also have an Idea of cost thanks. Have you got any answers ? I am struggling to choose between Dr gorge and sheheta

PositiveThinkerAlways · 19/05/2024 16:33

@Lil21 No sorry, I haven’t got much further in my research. I am also considering both Gorgy & Sheata and suspect Gorgy is much more expensive but has more success in complex cases. I gain a lot of information from the FB group Reproductive Immunology but still unsure on total average cost. I think I will just have to go ahead (probably with Gorgy) and hope for the best, praying it doesn’t bankrupt us.

Hello @PositiveThinkerAlways with Shehata,

  • I paid c. £2.5k up front in blood tests, and ultrasound.
  • Initial consultation £350.
  • I was on hydroxy at £40 per box of 60 200mg, so circa £40 per month. TIL 16 weeks and before. So c.6 months at £240
  • Metformin 3 x 500mg a day at £18 so c. £60 per month. (You can now get from GP if PCOS). 6 months x £360
  • Fragmin / blood thinner = box of 10 £55 so c.£550 per month. Pre and until 16 weeks so c.5 x £550 would be £2750 but I got this through nhs ivf
  • I was successful, so had scans at 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 at £360 st £2160
  • and intralipids at: pre, 4 weeks, 8, 12, 16 - 5 x £380 so £1900

I had IVF with NHS alongside treatment protocol, got progesterone and blood thinners through them. So my total expenditure was:

£7,510 plus could have been additional £2750 with blood thinners. Lubion if prescribed, is also very expensive!

£4,060 was due to success, so c.£3.5k if I hadn't been successful.

A little complicated by hope it helps!

MotherOfShihTzus · 19/05/2024 19:57

Sorry fragmin should be £150 per month, so £900 over 6 months - not £2.7k!!! 🫣

Also worth factoring travel to Surrey if you're not local. I travelled from wales, so needed a day off work almost every other week too

@MotherOfShihTzus Thank-you sooooooo much for this information and taking the time to break it all down, I can’t tell you how helpful this is. It gives me a good indication of what the costs are likely to be and why. Super grateful!
And huge congratulations on your successful pregnancy, it gives me hope.
