Hello all,

I recently had my blood test and my AmH is now in the poor ovarian responder category. Has anyone found success with very low ovarian reserve like in the range of 0.2ng/ml.
I am thinking of DHEA s and PRP but so unsure about all this.
any information will be helpful.
thank you x

Hi, I have low ovarian reserve, in December I had an AFC scan and it showed no follicles! I was prescribed DHEA and metformin and by February I had x2 follicles. Since the Dec scan, I stopped drinking, did weekly acupuncture, quit my job (drastic I know but I hated it and it was causing me huge stress) and really focused on my diet and overall stress levels. So I am not exactly sure what the direct impact of DHEA was but my testosterone levels increased so I feel DHEA definitely helped that. I haven't tried PRP yet but looking into it.

@Meadow3 thank you. So did you get good quality eggs?
did you test your DHEA levels before taking the supplements?
have started acupuncture and trying to keep my work stress away.

Yes it was tested at end of Oct and it was 0.4 nmol, when retested in February it was 2.17 which was actually too high so my dose was lowered. I have read a lot of sources saying not to take DHEA without consulting a doctor so if you haven't already, make an appointment to get a full blood panel done as you'll get your FSH, LH, iron etc also tested.
Your GP or a better still a fertility specialist can read them and prescribe whatever medication you need. My GP was pretty rubbish to be honest, she was clueless about fertility so I went to a fertility doctor who spotted immediately the issues. The same fertility specialist suggested I try x3 rounds of TSI before going to IVF, I am now on 3rd round and will do pregnancy test in about a week or so. I am doing everything I can do maximize the quality of the small number of eggs that I do have. After all it only takes one good egg!!

Hi ladies, @SS2022 @Meadow3 I’m just wondering what the update on your low ovarian reserves are, any of you had some progress, luck?
Few weeks ago scan at fertility clinic showed no follicles, AMH test came back as 0.21, sk low reserve, and due to my age (43) I was recommended donor eggs. At that point I started acupuncture with moxibustion, I’m sleeping better which is helping with my stress and constant worrying, less coffee, less alcohol. And I literally did a pregnancy test yesterday, not even sure why as after that blow, but it seems positive.
At the moment I’m still not fully convinced, need to book a blood test, but just wondering, reading both your scenarios, how successful were you in the end. 🤞🤞
