IVF DuoStim, getting my period during 2nd stim phase

Hi everyone, I'm in the second stimulation phase of my first time doing duo-stim IVF. I had my first egg retrieval nearly three weeks ago, according to my normal cycle, my period would have been due a few days ago. I'm on meriofert 300 and utrogestan 400mg (to prevent ovulation) this stimulation round (last time was meriofert 150, letrozole, ganirelix). I've had spotting (which my clinic said was fine), but today it has become a proper heavy flow, with all the cramps to boot.

At my appointment yesterday morning the dr didn't seem concerned at all, but she did say it probably wasn't my period but just spotting as my endometrium was still thick. Today the flow is so heavy that there is no way this is not the endometrium.

Has anyone else had this, or heard about it? I realise it's a bit more unique as duo-stim isn't that common.

Hi there, I did duostim in my last round. It's completely normal to bleed during your luteal phase. I was also freaking out, my doctor said the body is confused because it's trying to do its thing and I'm pumping it full of hormones to make it do the opposite so I wouldnt worry to much about it. Hope this helps!

@blahblahetc ok that's great!! Then I won't worry, I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I guess at this rate I'll have stopped bleeding by the time the next egg collection comes round. I'm responding more slowly this time so it likely won't be until the middle/end of next week.
