AMH at 1.5 aged 32, Ivf advice please

Hi, I got told yesterday after 4+ of TTC that my AMH levels are 1.5, after a scan they confirmed that the blood results were correct and they could only see 2 eggs on each ovary. Hycosy was all good.

He has advised us that we start ivf immediately, I have a few questions as I know nothing about this..

How long before starting process will It take?

Any recommendations on where to go, my hospital works along side kings fertility so they can do all the tests etc at my local hospital then we just go to kings when needed.

Roughly how much are we looking at?

I'm new to all of this & didn't expect to go down this route but he's advised me we don't have time on our hands as my AMH is extremely low for my age 😭

Thanks in advance xx

Hi @dol89 - I dont have any advice on a AMH of 1.5 - however I have a AMH of 7.8 (last time i checked) and I am also with Kings. I want to say I think Kings are really good- however from my experience, it takes a few months to get the tests they require/make a plan before you actually start anything.

Any questions re: Kings fertility - please feel free to ask.

Sorry to here you have such low AMH - it only takes one egg to have a successful baby and hopefully you have really good quality eggs as you are still young so once you do IVF - you'll have your little baby in your hands.

Also @dol89 - what tests have they done? have they tested your husbands sperm?

I believe one round of IVF at Kings is £3500 + £2500 medicine approx but varys according to you. Blood tests and scans ahead of starting are around £1000.

Are you not eligible on NHS? NHS can refer you to Kings through choose/book and you should be eligible for one or two rounds depending on your own personal circumstances

Thanks for replying, yes his sperm also come back low but he's been on meds and after months he's now ok, dr said he's not concerned about him it's me that's the problem now..
ah really they're not to quick then?
He said he thinks I've not got long left as they're dropping so quick he thinks I'm gonna hit early menopause 😭

As in they are thorough but I would be realistic and expect it to be a couple months out - wheras I was unrealsitic and thought i would start in feb after my first consultation in Jan - but I only jsut had first round of treatment in April. (we're trying ovulation induction as only need one egg).
