So just moved over from the conception chat. After almost 2 years trying to conceive today I got the results from my fertility screening. Doctor has said I have PCOS. I’m 35 with AMH level of 46. 18 follicles on one ovary and 13 on the other.
I don’t know how I feel about that to be honest. It’s nice to have answers by at the same time, it’s not great news.
what has confused me is I had private bloods done 12 months ago and my AMH was 26. It’s risen by 20 in 12 months time. So now I’m just baffled. Anyone ever heard of this happening?

Sorry to hear that, can I ask was your private tests with Hertility? As I’ve also had confusing AMH results 6 months apart showing mine had dropped by two thirds which seems wild!

Someone did comment that different labs may have different sensitivities on their tests?!

On the positive side, you have answers and can now hopefully move forward with a plan. Do you know what you’ll do next on your fertility journey?

hi @AnnieStar12 . The privates were with Randox.
next steps are thyroid testing tomorrow. Hycosy to check for blockages. If there are any blockages the. Start ivf straight away if they’re are none then metformin for 4 months and if there’s no pregnancy by then we will start ivf.
I know it’s good to have answers but just feel really emotional about actually having a diagnosis to be honest.
