Hello, I'm 35 have a 2.5 yo dd. It took 2 years to conceive dd. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. My ovarian reserve was low. 3 years ago, My AMH was 11.4, FSH 11.5 and AFC 3. We had IVF and have 6 frozen embryos. Dd was conceived naturally 2 months after a failed ivf cycle.

We have been ttc since May '23 and have just had a chemical pregnancy in the last month. My cycle is between 26-28 days.

Our plan is to look at doing a FET at the end of the year. Obviously we will need to self fund.

I am just a bit unsure about what to do in the interim. Is it worth bothering my GP next month for fertility testing after a year TTC in case there is a different reason for not conceiving? Will GP refer us to the clinic under NHS route for secondary infertility if we need to pay for FETs?

Any advice appreciated.

I think it's worth making sure everything else is OK definitely

Can you self-refer back to your fertility clinic as a private patient?
I’ve recently had a failed FET but clinic are happy to try the same protocol again (same frozen embryos batch that resulted in DC1).
I’m breastfeeding DC1 so my clinic did do hormone tests before going ahead.
