Anyone else private having to weigh constantly ? Is really starting to get to me after a year of dieting

I know they are strict , I’ll be weighed right until collection day but just finding it a lot

at a time I want to be nourishing myself I’m having to constantly weigh and watch every thing I eat and drink

just a bit of a vent but how did you cope with it for a long time ?

Thanks in advance xx

This is super strict! Are you on a package or refund plan? My private clinic never weighed me, I had a bmi of 30 too so not like i was very thin so they deemed it unnecessary.

Neither just a standard priced up cycle at a huge cost !!

having a general which I think is why they’re so strict

Ah ok, still though is their policy strict on how much over you can be? If you gain a bit will they abandon the cycle? Seems mad!

It's likely linked to the sedation as elevated BMI tips you into a higher risk sedation and some clinics can't/won't sedate over 35, their hands may be tied with it, that said though if a clinic is attached to an NHS hospital for eg they can sometimes flex on it with anaesthetic review from an anaesthetist, but for standalone alone units it's very rare, although if you are having a GA I presume it's not a standalone unit.

My understanding is at your antenatal booking appt an increased maternal BMI automatically puts you in a higher risk category, so I think clinics are mindful not to be passing patients on for ongoing antenatal care who are put it into that category.

I agree it must be mega stressful for you, good luck

I would look for another clinic, private clinics usually don't check your weight this much, they do it only when you register as a new client.

It must be very uncomfortable to get weighted every time.
