Experience with long protocol and meriofert

I unfortunately had a failed cycle on short protocol with bemfola recently with 9 mature eggs all fertilised but none made it past day 3. They think most likely an egg quality issue despite them looking fine. Taking coq10 and other supplements to try to improve this!

Planning my next cycle and the consultant wants to go for a long protocol with meriofert hoping to get better results. Has anyone had experience of changing protocol with better results particularly to this one? Just hoping for some positivity really!
I'm 31, husband's 32 with unexplained infertility for context!

Hi @Toon49 on my second cycle I had meriofert and personally I think that played a big part in my difference!
First cycle in jan was 14 eggs, only 5 mature, 3 fertilised and 1 day 5 embryo.
Second cycle I swapped to meriofert but still on a short protocol and they did a ovitrelle and decapectyl trigger
Ended with 24 eggs, 16 mature, 15 fertilised and 7 day 5/6 embryos
I really think the meriofert helped. I'm 33 and dh 34 with low morphology so we had ICSI
Also took ubiquinol between my rounds (jan-march) and did more acupuncture and was less stressed!
Hope this helps

Thank you that's really reassuring, really hoping it helps this time. They're planning on giving me a one off Decapeptyl before I start stimulation to suppress my ovaries so I don't need fyremadel daily like last time which my consultant says can sometimes help. Still confused how it can be used as suppression and trigger!
