Did you stay home and relax after embryo transfer?

Hi I’m reading different things online and wondering whether staying at home and relaxing (not going out, to work, for long walks etc.) versus continuing your daily life actually makes a difference in implantation/pregnancy outcome?

Anyone who didn’t stay home/relaxed and had a positive outcome?

Hiya! So I can't comment on a BFP at the moment (fingers crossed!) but my embryo transfer was on Wednesday so I'm 2DP5DT and I've been working from home/trying to chill a bit the past 2 days (and transfer day).

I have been doing the odd walk for some exercise and I plan to go out more over the weekend and get back to normal. I was advised to rest/take it easy for the first few days but other than that, gentle exercise is fine like walking or swimming.

How many days past transfer are you? Good luck!!! xx

@K2012 I'm having my second transfer in a couple of weeks. I'm going to do the same as my first transfer - taking the day of transfer and day after transfer off work so I can chill out / not encounter any stress. Then work from home the following day and then back to normal going into the office the day after that :) I continue with the usual dog walking etc. and don't change any of my usual routine. Depends what your 'usual routine' looks like though - I don't do any high impact exercise / sport x

I was advised to lower my stress levels. Mine should he around 25th April and I will be resting probably 2 days (as in binging tv etc) as much as is possible as we have a toddler too.

Theb from day 3 I'll be put and about walking my partner and I are going to plan a dew nice things to do together to keep our minds from goinf over drive.

A lot of advice too on increasing endorphins by watching something funny

I did go home but as I was working online during the later COVID times (Sep 2021) I just logged back in and worked from home. I think it helped keep my mind away from obsessing over things. I also did some nice dog walks and anything like that to get out and about and keep busy. Nothing super strenuous though! Got my bfp 7 days later, daughter born May 22.

I carried on as normal and went back to work as straight away. The only thing I didn’t do was have hot baths, have sex or carry heavy things. Literally everything else I did as normal. Baby boy is now 12 weeks old 🥰

I got up immediately after transfer, had a wee, went next door to a cafe and had decaf coffee and cake. Then we walked around the city centre for an hour. 2 hour drive home. Took the next day off to lounge about but then went back to normal life and didn't do anything a pregnant person shouldn't do! All fine so far 27 weeks in 🤞

What you do makes no difference whatsoever, so just do what's right for you :)

Thursday transfer, chilled that day. Worked Friday, outdoors job but took it easy. Chilled Saturday. Worked Sunday again just walking about not doing strenuous work, felt grumpy all day and had mild faint spotting that evening. Bfp Monday, stronger bfp Tuesday:) now have an 8 month old!
