I wonder I'd anyone has done IVF abroad? We have just started to research into it as an option. It would be lovely to talk to someone who has been through it.

hi , abroad was the solution for me and the experience was second to none . I did 7 rounds of ivf in uk (nhs and privete) and then one ob doctor said to me to check a clinic in greece athens. I did and bam next year i had a family with my own eggs at 44. There is an angel there called peny abatzi! She is not a doctor but the manager there and she makes miracles ! Good luck

@Mara47 what was the clinic called please? I might look into clinics abroad in the future if needed. Would you recommend them for low AMH / low egg quality?

Mara47 · 07/04/2024 11:06

Serum ivf athens ! Yes I totally recommend them for every difficult case !

It's worth checking their criteria etc especially if using donors.

We found a surprising amount of countries didn't allow single parents or same sex parents, some don't allow any donor treatments

Some countries also insist in completely anonymous (non id release at any age) which wasn't a choice that I could make.

We chose to stay in the UK for that reason

I'm also suspicious that a lot of the threads about ivf abroad have some repetitive, similar responses that seem like ads. You'll find threads like this that are a years old that are suddenly bumped by people recommending clinics

Thank you all. Very helpful.
I have been doing lots of research, the Emma Gaslam podcast is good.
I've been looking at this clinic -embio medical center
Athens.

Thanks all again. I'm pretty sure with some careful research, we will give this a go.

Interesting... I hadn't noticed that but will be sure to look out for it. I've got 1 round left in my multi cycle but it's not looking great, so wondering whether it's worth looking into clinics abroad. I don't want to go down the donor route but have a feeling that could be my clinics next advice..... x

I havnt been aboard..yet! Iv had 2 failed cycles here in Ireland I've low amh and bad egg quality, had a consultation with serum in athens too so hoping to go in August for PRP on ovaries and some testing then back again a month later for ivf. It's not cheap but it's our last chance! Before we move onto donor eggs🤞

Hi Cloclo93, I am so sorry, its hard going isn't it.
Have you tried acupuncture? I have been doing that and my fertility scan is looking good. They can help with herbs for increasing AMH.
I have someone who does online consultations if you want her contact, let me know.
