Left ovary not very visible

Hi

I'm due to start IUI but my left ovary is not very visible. I had my tubes checked and the same thing happened - ovary was hiding but luckily the fluid showed clear tubes on both sides. When I had the baseline scan also right ovary had 10 follicules and the left only 3 ( maybe there was more but we couldn't see) We decided to wait and see when the right one will be dominant to do the IUI rather than shooting in the dark. Anyone else with the same issue?

My left ovary is hard to find and have been told it's tucked behind my uterus! I've had 20+ TVUS and always the same problem. The person scanning me always asks "is this normal for you?" 😂 I usually end up having to put a fist under the left hip and pushing down on my stomach with the other hand. Have recently had IVF and had 14 follicles on the right and 6 on the left but was told there's probably more on the left, they just can't see them. Luckily with the IVF, the stimulation causes the ovaries to grow which means the left one "pops" out making it easier to see. Not sure if this will be the case for IUI.

I also have this issue! Every scan they struggle to get to it. Unfortunately during my first egg collection they couldn’t reach every follicle in there either. And it seems to be my more dominant ovary too. So, no help unfortunately, but shared commiserations!

Do you mean you ovulate more from this ovary ? I thought they sort of alternate
