Hi! Please can someone help. I am 5dp5dt today (FET) & promised myself I wouldn't test but I couldn't help myself. I have taken a few tests today, a couple have been negative but one clear blue early detection came back with a very faint positive. I then took a Cb early detection digital, and to my surprise, it came back positive...
I've taken another line test after this and it's negative so I'm really confused. Am I pregnant or could this be a chemical?! Everything I have read, it's rare to get a positive on a digital when the line tests are still negative!?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks so much Smile

The only thing you really can do is wait 24-48 hours and test again. Good luck!

ettc12344556 · 03/04/2024 15:07

Thanks so much. So I've tested again today, and still positive and the line tests are also pretty positive. I'm 6dp5dt today - is this a good sign?!? Am I pregnant or could my result change between now and tests date? (12th April).
I'm so anxious! I thought I'd be jumping for joy with a positive test!!

Hurrah! That’s great news. Will you get a blood test on the 12th? That will help indicate if the pregnancy is viable.

At this early stage, it’s possible to have a chemical pregnancy, where the embryo fails to continue to implant/develop. My clinic says about 15-20% of positives don’t progress to a pregnancy after week 8. But that stills means it’s highly likely to work!

Copenhagener · 03/04/2024 15:16

Also forgot to mention: I’m also in this purgatory and waiting for my blood test tomorrow! I had a fainter test today than yesterday, but I was also more hydrated and I used a different brand, but it’s completely taken over my head today 😫

ettc12344556 · 03/04/2024 15:22

Hi @Copenhagener thank you so much for coming back to me!
That's good to know the percentages - just praying it sticks and we have a positive outcome. I'm not sure if my clinic will give me a blood test - they've just advised that I call with my result on the 12th & we will go from there. I just plan to test every day until now and then to keep me sane (or not!)

How many days past transfer are you? Hopefully your wee was just more dilated as you say!! Will you test again today, or wait until tomorrow now? Everything crossed for you!!!! X

Hi OP, a positive test this early is a good sign 🍀so cautious congratulations 🙂

Copenhagener · 03/04/2024 18:47

@ettc12344556 I’m 9 days post day 5 transfer. My blood test is first thing tomorrow, so I will hopefully know by midday. I didn’t actually test until day 7. I’ve attached a picture of how mine looked up until today for you - yours actually looks darker earlier, which is a super great sign! As you can see, mine today is a lot lighter, which is worrying me.

I won’t bother testing again now, as the blood will be more reliable. They say over 75 is considered positive, which is a pretty high threshold!

It’s my first FET after a totally failed fresh transfer back in January.

Don’t drive yourself crazy with testing now - maybe just every other day when the hormones will double? Wishing you all the luck!

Good luck for today @Copenhagener . Thinking of you and wishing you all the best!! Let me know🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼.
I don't think your day 9 line looks too much lighter - plus it's a different brand so hopefully that's the reason why.

I'm mad, but testing everyday is getting me by. 7dp5dt today and lines seem a little darker and I've got 1-2 weeks on CB digital. Just hope they keep getting darker!!!

Hey @ettc12344556 thank you! That’s very sweet.

I had my beta results back already! I’m 121 IU/L on 10 days.

How come your clinic is asking you to wait until the 12th to test? Seems a long time! Wishing you all the best! I think if you’re getting dark lines now that’s a very good sign. Is it your first FET?

ettc12344556 · 04/04/2024 09:43

Hi @Copenhagener , wow that was back quick! Is that a good result / does that confirm you are pregnant?!🤞🏼
As I've not had bloods yet - no idea on what is good and what isn't.

I know, I thought it seemed a really long time. It's 15 days post transfer... & I'm actually away next week too so won't be able to have a blood test until the 18th😩.
These are my tests today...
I just don't think I will be able to believe it until I have bloods / a scan! X

@ettc12344556 I wrote a reply to you and never hit send!

My clinic considers anything over 75 IU/L positive, but the most important thing is that the result doubles within 48-72 hours. Unfortunately, my country doesn’t run a second beta as standard. I’ll ask them next week if they can do a second one (it’s public health, so they’re a bit cost-frugal). Otherwise, I might cough up the approx. £30 and get it done privately for peace of mind.

They booked in my first viability scan for 25 April.

But this morning I decided to use my last test. I’m now 12DP5DT and saw this. So I’m feeling tentatively excited! Part of me wishes I never started testing so early and squinting at lines now!

How’s your testing going?

Oh congratulations @Copenhagener - it's looking really positive for you!! 🤞🏼😊
And your day 12 test is looking really dark too!😁are you having many symptoms?
Keep me posted on your 2nd blood test! X

I'm 10dt5dt today, still testing positive (lines are getting darker!) but, I'm still feeling incredibly anxious and like something is going to go wrong! I had a bit of spotting the past couple of days, which panicked me.
OTD is Friday, so 5 more days. My clinic also confirmed they will not do blood tests at all!? They just go by a positive pregnancy test & then book you in 2 weeks later for a scan
! This unsettled me a bit as all other clinics seem to do bloods?! I may see if I can pay for one elsewhere next week.

Hi @Copenhagener , how are you getting on?! Hope you've had a positive outcome😊🤞🏼.

I'm 13dp5dt today & my anxiety is through the roof. I'm still testing positive, although I thought my Easy@Home looked slightly lighter today than it did yesterday😩. I have 2 more days until OTD so I'm praying I'm still positive by then!!

@ettc12344556 hi again! I haven’t take! anymore tests since the last one I shared, but I’ve booked a second blood beta (private) for Friday, so I have an idea of my HCG. I know it won’t change anything, but I can at least feel a bit calmer in the wait until my scan in two weeks - or know if it’s not looking good rather than being blindsided in week 7.

Do you have any symptoms? I have a consistent low level nausea. It doesn’t affect my eating, but I constantly feel a bit sick. My nipples are a bit sensitive too, but that’s it. I also read that 50% of people don’t have symptoms yet at week 5, so trying not to read too deeply into anything!

Please let me know how your OTD goes :)

Copenhagener · 14/04/2024 07:13

Hey @ettc12344556 how did OTD go?

ettc12344556 · 18/07/2024 14:36

Hi @Copenhagener , realised I never came back to you on this.
It was positive news and I'm now 19 weeks pregnant with a baby boy 😊 I still can't quite believe it. How is it going for you? X

OP posts:
Copenhagener · 18/07/2024 14:51

@ettc12344556 hey! so nice to hear from you 😊

Happy to report I am 19+1, but with with a baby girl! Second trimester has been a breeze compared to the hell of first trimester. We have our 20-week scan next Wednesday. How about you?

ettc12344556 · 18/07/2024 14:55

Aww that's amazing - so happy to hear!😊 & congrats on your baby girl!!
Sorry to hear you had a rough first trimester but pleased that the second has been a lot easier!
My 20 week scan is also next Wednesday! Will be relieved to get that one out the way and knows he's all okay in there! 😁. Is your due date 10th December? Mine is the 11th :)
Feels like a lifetime away but I'm sure it'll fly by! X

OP posts:
Copenhagener · 18/07/2024 15:00

@ettc12344556 Thank you!

We're due date twins! That's so fun :) I am also due on the 11th Dec as it currently stands.

Are you a little worried about carrying over until Christmas? I'm secretly hoping she may come a week early! That said, having a baby at Christmas also sounds special.

I had a gender scan at 16 weeks, and she was doing fine then and bouncing around and sucking her thumb - did you also get one too, or a gender test?

Feeling any movements yet?

ettc12344556 · 18/07/2024 15:08

Oh how amazing is that!! Smile
Haha I have had that fear too - we could definitely have Christmas Day babies if they are late! I've heard IVF babies are typically early though , so we may be lucky!

Aw so cute!! Yes I have had a few reassurance scans as I've been really anxious but so far so good.
Yes he's kicking away in there now, noticing a lot more movement this week. How about you? X

OP posts:
Copenhagener · 24/07/2024 10:59

@ettc12344556 how did your 20 week scan go? Just had mine and luckily all was normal! I had to do a lot of shaking and bouncing around to get her to move into the right position - was not expecting to need to go into Downward Dog in the US room haha.

I’ll probably have one final reassurance scan at around 32 weeks to check how’s she doing before the birth.

I have an anterior placenta, so sadly not feeling any movement just yet. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

ettc12344556 · 05/11/2024 21:53

Hey @Copenhagener ,
Just wondered how you were getting on?😊 Just 5 weeks to go!!

OP posts:
Copenhagener · 22/11/2024 10:22

Hi @ettc12344556 I will actually have baby a little early on Monday! She’s in breech position and I have a complication with too much amniotic fluid, so they’re taking her out by c-section. So Christmas baby is now a November baby 😅

How are your last few weeks going?
