Hycosy and male factor

Hi everyone

I had my Hycosy - all normal and patient tubes. I have PCOS and DH has low motility and morphology.

The doctor doing it said that it can increases chances of pregnancy over the next 1-3 months.

But I don't know how likely this is if male factor is the main issue? Don't want to get too hopeful. Has anyone had any luck with natural conception after Hycosy if male factor issues?

Thanks

I'm afraid I didn't, I was hopeful for the 3 months, but just remember that everyone is different, so you can only try!
My DH had 1% morphology

I had a hycosy but I also didn't get pregnant. I had no issues on my end. I was also hopeful I might get lucky within 2 months of starting IVF but unfortunately it didn't happen. I proceeded to IVF as my DH had low count & poor motiity & morphology & we had tried for 1 year. I was 35 so was conscious of my age. We had IVF/IMSI. I now have a 13 month old.

From my research, some people with male factor did get lucky but they had tried for years. If it's just his motility & morphology, have you tried supplements to try and improve his parameters?

Didn't happen for me either (also male factor).

I had a hycosy, most pointless thing I've ever done tbh - as I was a private patient, I think the clinic just wanted my money 😞

It didn't give me any new information and it made no difference whatsoever to the treatment I was recommended.

And it was painful.

I do not think there is any point in hycosy for male factor and I regret having it.
