Could I have Ashermans?

Hi, really looking for some advice please.
I have a DS who I was able to conceive basically on the second attempt, he's coming up three years now. Easy peasy. For the past year we have been TTC and have been unsuccessful. I did get pregnant but a had a MMC which resulted in me having to have a D&C. Since then my periods have been super light. Like, hardly needing a pad light (though on time and like clockwork). I've had 1, maybe 2 chemical pregnancies since. I went to see a Gyno who did scan me and said my lining was "thick" and looked normal but couldn't explain the lack of bleeding in my periods (but he didn't see concerned about it anyway). Of course I've been looking it up and although it's rare I'm like a textbook case for Ashermans. I have contacted Dr Lower but they fees are astronomical (I'd be about £7k if I did have Ashermans). I guess my questions are has anyone else had experience like this? Was it Ashermans? And did you manage to get it fixed on private care (I have Aviva through work but don't know if they cover it)
TIA

I had three D&C’s in 7 months and after the last one my periods became much lighter and shorter. I was sure I had Asherman’s given my symptoms and history. I had a 3D saline scan with a clinic I was under and they ruled it out. I was also doing IVF and my lining was growing in response to stims so they were confident I didn’t have it. I then got pregnant and carried to term so looks like they were right.

Could you try a 3D saline scan before spending money on a hysteroscopy? From what I’ve read about Mr Lower he can diagnose pretty accurately on a scan alone. Though obviously if he thinks you have it then you would need a hysteroscopy to treat it.

There are two good facebook groups for Asherman’s- one UK and one global. There might be info on insurance etc on there.
