ERPC / D&C - How long did it take for AF to return?

so sorry for anyone who has experienced a loss. I had an ERPC for our beautiful much longed for twins on 13th Feb

just wondering if you have had one, how long it took for AF to return please? Was it longer or shorter than usual?

I was usually 27/28 days prior to our loss. 31 days today & still no AF… also was secretly hoping a miracle had happened but also getting BFN of course. i was taking progesterone suppositories up until 2 days ago

@aimeeeleanor I am so sorry for your loss. I had an ercp just over a year ago and as far as I recall I got my period after approx 4 weeks which is my usual cycle length. I’d imagine it’s not unusual for it to be a bit late after an ercp I was surprised mine came on time . My period was much heavier than usual too.

@aimeeeleanor perhaps the progesterone could have delayed it either ?

I'm so sorry for your loss. It ended up taking me about 6 to 7 weeks for my period to come after my surgery. My clinic told me this was quite normal. It took about 4 weeks for my hcg to return to zero, then I finally ovulated. The progesterone may also have delayed things. I hope it comes soon.
