Egg freezing

I don’t know where to post this, sorry, but I hope someone can relate.

I used to have the most regular periods - every 28-29 days always. In January I began exploring egg freezing and had my consultation with the doctor in mid-Jan with initial tests etc. going well. She recommended I start the process in my next cycle.

This should have begun second week of February but my period was randomly 5 days late, I barely had any PMS symptoms, and it was a light flow (about 3 days compared to 5-6 days normally). Anyway, going ahead with the procedure in Feb with the 5 day delay would have meant missing a very important work trip so we agreed to defer the treatment by one month.

So now we’re one month on and my period is currently 7 days late, I have no PMS symptoms again, and it actually feels like it has skipped altogether (strangely, my discharge is indicative of ovulation not my period being about to start!)

So basically I have no idea what the hell is going on, why my periods are suddenly irregular, why I’m getting no PMS symptoms and why my period was so light last month.

Has anyone experienced anything like this, while going through IVF/egg freezing?

Could the anticipation / stress of egg freezing be impacting my cycle this much?

Does light/skipped periods suggest the egg collection will be sub-optimal/unsuccessful?

No, definitely not pregnant as I haven’t had sex for a while!

I’m mid 30s so I’m not sure it can be peri-menopause either?

@Crushed23 then most likely stress or some of those off cycles. I don't think it will impact the EC. My clinic puts me always on downregg pill, to keep all hormones down for a few weeks and then starts stimulation.
Regarding perimenopause..low risk, also you need more symptoms than a few shorter lighter cycles.
2 years ago I also though I am probably perimenopausal..but was stress. I am almost 42! Hormones show definitely not there yet 😅

I think I just want it over with now, I don’t think I’ve ever felt so out of control of my body. I think I underestimated the emotional side effects, like the stress of not getting my period when expected...
