After an awful week in work amongst lots of heartache the past couple of years, me and my partner have been accepted for funding for IVF.

Been crying my eyes out. I’m so happy. 😁

Congratulations @SlinkMcSlink

Welcome to the wild world of IVF. This will be a rollercoaster ride, so be prepared! MN community is quite good, so hope you make the most of it.

Thanks @Serendipity24 !!!

This may sound naive but I’m not actually sure what happens next! I just know that our first appointment is in 4-6 weeks. What’s your experience?

Different clinics work differently. But at our first appointment the Doctor asked us a series of questions regarding our health and fertility journey thus far. At the end of it she gave us some tests to do (some clinics would give you the tests before the first appointment). We had a follow up after the tests were done and she explained what she was proposing. We had to wait a bit for the actual treatment to start as it was Covid days, and there was still restrictions in place. She gave me a short protocol meaning I was on stimulation for a short period of time, so it was quick once the treatment started.

Thanks for the information. We’ve had all of our tests back in September so hoping that it’s straight to getting on with it. Where are you up to now? Any luck? @Serendipity24 🍀
