Dont ovulate naturally

So

I dont ovulate naturally myself regularly (and tbh we've never been able to get to bottom of why) This was confirmed with several day 21 tests, no positive OPKs and BBT. (I think I ovulated 3x last year in total).

I'm starting Letrozole when my next period arrives - I feel super anxious as I feel if none of this works then as I dont ovulate - there is nothing else I can do.

Not quite sure if anyone had suggestions on how they got ovulation to come back - if you've been in the same boat? I get conflicting views on if I have PCOS. (Some docs have said not - then others have said yes due to appearance of ovaries...) My AMH is low at 7.8 so therefore points to not having PCOS.

I've lost 28kg over last 2 years to get my BMI to 30 - I regularly exercise and eat well and nothing has worked to get ovulation to happen more frequently. So any other suggestions would be super helpful and appreciated.

Don't feel discouraged if you don't ovulate first month. I actually took until the 4th cycle to ovulate.
Unfortunately for me, me and my partner have a multitude of fertility issues (pcos, not ovulating , fluid tube , poor morphology ) and still couldn't get pregnant with the medicated cycles and in the end we pursued ivf

I have PCOS and don't ovulate naturally. Letrozole did make me ovulate sometimes (I had six rounds in total, but no pregnancy) but they had to put me on the highest dose (they started out lower) so don't be discouraged if the first cycle fails as they can tweak it.
IVF would be your next option after letrozole, I think, that's where I am now. The stims used for IVF are way more powerful than letrozole so don't panic that you wouldn't get eggs with IVF - although I sadly didn't get pregnant on my first cycle, I did get 18 mature eggs collected.

Good luck!

I thought I would reply to this as I was in exactly the same boat as you. I have been told my some consultants I don't fit the criteria for PCOS and others have said I do because my ovaries have a polycistic appearance without any actual cysts. Regardless I don't ovulate naturally, I had several day 21 Progesterone tests and they all came back in the single digits. BMI is in the same area as well.

I was referred through to the fertility clinic last year and started Letrazole, my first cycle I had a mature follicle and my day 21 test came back higher than normal but just not enough for ovulation. They kept me on the same dose for the second cycle and I ovulated that time. I got my BFP last month on my fifth cycle and I'm currently 6w+4 days pregnant.

I completely understand how stressful it is and the fear of failure sometimes makes you want to not try at all to save yourself the heartbreak and disappointment but there is every chance it will work for you.

Also if it doesn't happen to work it absolutely isn't the end of the road options wise and your fertility consultant will be able to talk through what the next steps could be. My fingers are crossed for you!
