As the title suggests, does anybody have any success stories of conceiving with a hydrosalpinx and stage 4 endo?
Thanks in advance Flowers

I don't have a success story yet, but I also have hydrosalpinx on one side and stage 4 endo so my thoughts are with you ❤️ we've been TTC for just over 2 years.

Are you due to have Laparoscopy?

StarL2021 · 03/03/2024 12:34

@xPlatform975 I have been told that I need to remove my tubes as the fluid will be toxic to any embryo. They have advised against surgery for the endo as it may affect my AMH, so tubes removed first, then IVF. I am sorry to hear that you have this too 🥲

I was diagnosed with a hydrosalpinx in October 2022 . I also have pcos and suspected endo. Was on the list for laparoscopy for removal of my left tube and by some miracle fell pregnant 2 months later. It ended in a miscarriage but obviously its still definitely possible naturally. After another 10 months of no luck despite medicated rounds , I went through ivf in October 23 and it was a success. At my scan they said the hydrosalpinx wasn't visible on ultrasound so we decided not to proceed with surgery so I really don't know if it's still there or not but the dye did seem to flush some of the crap out after it that I managed to fall pregnant 2 months later ( 18 years trying before)

@LiIacMoon I am so glad you have a happy ending. Did you have endo in your tubes too?

We already have a child, but he will be 10 this year. Ive not had a positive pregnancy test since we had him, we have been trying for nearly 4 years.

@StarL2021 How are you getting on?
I’ve just been told I have hydrosalpinx and stage 4 endo, both sides. Fertility Dr has asked for me to be referred to the Endo team. In the meantime we have our IVF criteria appointment in a few weeks - I’m very anxious about it all 😓

@Gace I am still infertile as ever 😩. I'm sorry to hear you have them on both sides. I am waiting for an operation to see do they can salvage my tubes/remove them.

@StarL2021 Aww I’m so sorry. This is honestly such a stressful process. Please keep me posted. I really hope your operation is confirmed soon. We’ve got this 💕

I had stage 4 endometriosis and had a hydrosalpinx, I had 2 extensive surgeries and 1 tube removed and went on to have several cycles of IVF, I had a baby with donor eggs eventually and then a natural conception when he was 6 months old! My egg reserve was terrible too
