4CC FET success stories please and clinics decision question 🙏

Hi all.

Hoping to hear some positive stories if possible. Egg collection was 18/02 which 21 eggs were collected, 11 fertilised, 9 strong on day 3 and to our surprise/despair we only ended up with 1 4CC blastocyst. Feeling so gutted. I know 1 is better than none but I can't help but feel all my hope is lost on this cycle, has anyone had any succsess from a 4CC. We are doing FET due to high number collected and risk of OHSS, as it is been absolutely fine after EC no symptoms of OHSS at all.

Also another question just for future reference, has anyone ever gone against their clinics decision to do a freeze all and gone for a fresh transfer? I can't help but think if we had a transfer we would of had another chance, on day 5 we had 8 early blasts and on day 6 to blastocysts developed but couldn't be frozen, I know we'll never know but can't help but think if them 2 were transferred is there a chance at least one of them could of implanted? My mind is in overdrive with different scenarios

I only managed to get 2 embryos from my first collection. 5bc and a 3cc and I'm currently 20 weeks. Don't feel discouraged regarding grades

I did a fresh transfer. I was supposed to do a freeze all but my clinic were happy for me to go ahead so long as I was feeling OK. I did have alot of pelvic pain at the time but was desperate to crack on with the transfer as they weren't willing to freeze my 3cc anyway so we went ahead with a fresh. I did develop mild /moderate ohss for about 8 weeks , was basically bed ridden and I wouldn't advise anyone to go ahead with it if they suspect they might develop ohss , as you can never be sure if you will be one of the serious cases but I personally have no regrets

Hi @waitingforourmiracle how are you getting on? I've just had my first round of IVF and from 11 fertilised eggs we got one day 3 embryo frozen (clinic recommended we do this - not 100% sure why tbh) and a 4CC day blast. Didn't pan out exactly how we were hoping. I'm doing a freeze all too.

Have you had your FET now?

Hey @Lcm11 yes I had my frozen transfer done in April, our embryo thawed 100% and I got my BFP 💛 still very early days, had an early scan yesterday but only managed to see the sac, said it was too early to see anything else but I have my clinic scan next Tuesday so still crossing my fingers really tight! Good luck there's lots of hope on that 4CC try not to worry about the grade xx

Omg that is amazing news, hugeeeee congratulations. Wow IVF really is a rollercoaster isn't it. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you, you've come this far and I'm sure everything will go well next Tuesday. ❤️

Unfortunately at my clinic scan they confirmed I'd had a missed miscarriage so our journey continues! My partner has a varicocele procedure done on Tuesday so hopefully a few months we'll see some improvement! Xx
