Did you ever find out why? How long did you wait before ivf or did you eventually conceive organically.

14 months with not even a BFP. Conceived twice in a year the first time around.

Done some blood tests and everything seems normal.

The only thing I can think of is we are older and fatter (working on) and have a bit less sex!

I'm feeling so depressed about it! Positive stories would be lovely!

@Secondtimettc i have a 3 year old and have been ttc for 2 years with no success. I had a sis test (similar to hsg) after about ten months of ttc and I got pregnant the following cycle but unfortunately miscarried that pregnancy. I have had no luck since unfortunately but I’ve heard of loads of success stories following sis test or hsg test. I paid privately for the test . Might be worth considering ? It also identifies potential issues such as blockages if there are any.

I've had all the tests and the deft test showed low stem cells which would explain the 6 early mc in 2 years, so prescribed sitagliptin and progesterone. Start taking them tomorrow. I'm not very optimistic.

@Cariadxx sorry to hear about the 6 miscarriages , that must be so tough. I’ve had a mmc myself. Good luck with the medications, hope you get some results from them.

The data is very limited on whether it works. We've said we'll give it 6 months then give up. Age is not on our side, and mentally I'm almost broken.

@Secondtimettc have you been referred to a fertility specialist?

@Cariadxx I had 5 miscarriages and was prescribed sitagliptin after my deft test. It worked, I’m currently holding my 7 week old baby. Have hope, I know how hard it is, I’m thinking of you. I was also prescribed doxycycline and prednisolone. Good luck.

Can I ask how long after taking the sitagliptin you conceived?

@Cariadxx I was prescribed it for 3 months and was told I could start trying from the third month. I took doxycycline for the first 10 days of that cycle and conceived first try. I really hope it works for you too, the miscarriages almost completely broke me as well.

Hi ladies I’m glad the sitagliptin worked for you. Is it only needed when NK cells are low? I was considering trying it as I have adenomyosis and lining breaks down easily
