Hi Guys,
Apologies in advance for TMI and the length of this!
I am currently in my TWW from a fresh transfer 15th Feb. Today is 9dpt5dt.

I hadnt had symptoms since the transfer until day 5 I saw blood when wiping and it was red with some small clots. Emailed clinic and they said it was too early to test for any info and that sometimes
bleeding can be normal and to continue my progesterone and to let them know if bleeding continues.
Next day 6dpt there was blood in every wipe; dark red w/ clots, brown, light red, fresh red, rust I think Ive had all shades. Next day 7dpt bleeding died down and was only spotting brownish or dark red. I am convinced it is over especially when I tested BFN today (9dpt). Today I decided to go shopping to get my mind off all this. Started feeling crampy and mild soreness and pain on right side pribably from all the walking. Went bathroom and as expected blood when wiping again and this time a few drops in the toilet bowl. Got home showered and felt better. Im going to call clinic tomorrow. But does anybody know why this is happening!? Has similar happened to anyone during tww or in their failed ivf rounds?
I am pretty sure I am not pregnant after all this esp testing BFN on d9pt!

I'm sorry, it does sound like this round hasn't worked. A bit of spotting isn't necessarily indicative either way but regular bleeding is likely a sign it's not worked. It's perfectly normal for some people to bleed when a transfer has been unsuccessful. I started at about day 6/7 from recollection. There is a common misconception that the progesterone should stop you bleeding, which isn't true. That said, there is no harm on your next cycle asking them to check your progesterone levels if you're concerned and they didn't this time. Most don't routinely to start with, as they know the correct prescription of drugs will bolster it to adequate levels. Look after yourself at this time, it's a rough ride, and wishing you better luck in the future.

I am sorry about this experience. IVF is heartbreaking. Please take care of yourself.

Though the spotting by itself isn’t always an indication that it didn’t work, plenty of people spot on and off. But the pregnancy test is. You should be getting definite positives by 9 days post transfer.

This was me in my last failed cycle a few weeks back.

Started bleeding through the progesterone on day 4. By day 6 it was a full-on period. I took a pregnancy test on day 9 which confirmed what I knew, and then I discounted the cycle.

I still had to go in for a blood test, which shows there’d been no implantation at all.

I’m really sorry for you.

Thank you all for your kind words! IVF is truly is a rollercoaster ride and I am glad the TWW is over even though it hasn't worked.

@Copenhagener are you also from Denmark 🇩🇰?
