Hi there just looking for some advice and anyone in similar positions.
I'm currently experiencing my first chemical pregnancy, started bleeding today which would have been CD34. Confirmed ovulation CD19, confirmed progesterone test, confirmed bloods after digital positive and then fainter lines of the chemical.
I suffer with PCOS, have a 4yr old and conceived on Letrozole 2.5mg in 2019. No reaction to Clomid, no reaction to 2.5 / 5mg in 2023 but have reacted to 7.5mg this round. All in all have had:
3 failed Clomid rounds - no follicles 2018
1 successful Letrozole round - 2.5mg - Baby πΆπ» 2020
4 failed Letrozole rounds - 2.5 / 5 / 5 / 7.5mg 2023-2024
(Most recent chemical on 7.5mg)
My question is the consultant I went to privately advised up to 12 rounds maximum, regardless of consistency in cycles which I was not aware of. So all in all were on 8 now, she said we should really consider IVF after one more cycle on Letrozole..
Has anyone ever been told this about 12 rounds maximum across the board? Including all treatments they've had increases their risk of ovarian cancer and tumours? It's really frightened me and making me think do we just go ahead with IVF or try again if I know it can work for me on Letrozole?
