Hi all,

I had embryo transfer this morning, I had a large nap this pm which I don’t usually do. Now it’s 3.30am and I cannot sleep, it’s brining on anxiety too.

Do you think this will affect my implantation chances? Am really worried. Thanks

Hey OP,

Didn’t want to read and run.

It’s totally normal to feel apprehensive , I would suggest if you can’t sleep perhaps get up and do something to try to distract your mind for a bit so you can relax a bit more , maybe make a hot drink and listen to a podcast.
Lack of sleep might make you feel a bit rubbish tomorrow but it won’t affect your implantation. Try not to worry, sleep will come x

Hi @Loulou2202 I really really appreciate the reply, thank you. I managed to finally sleep, after I just got up and made a drink.
Was so worried! :)

Hi,
I hope you're feeling less anxious today and manage a good sleep tonight.
I know it can be a vicious cycle of getting worried about anxiety affecting your chances, which in turn makes you more anxious; I think all of us going through IVF can identify with this!
I'd really recommend making some nice plans during the 2ww, we've just had a weekend with friends (who didn't know about the transfer) and the distraction was wonderful! Getting out for a walk each day (wrap up warm!) has also been a huge help for me and I think the exercise is good for blood flow too.
Best of luck and hope you get a positive result in a few weeks!

Thank you @IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday , appreciate your comment. I feel a lot better now, that 3am worry really kicked in.

Best of luck to you too! Hope your journey’s been good so far- hope you get your bfp xx
