Hi,

I wondered if any of you who are at crgh could share the protocol/meds you took for a freeze all cycle? I have been given an estimate of medication costs of £2000 and wondering if I will be able to source any drugs elsewhere. I have yet to be given a breakdown of the medications I will be taking but the Dr mentioned I would take progesterone from around day 21ish for a week or so, then start the stimms and then EC up to 2 weeks after that. Based upon test results I think I will be on the highest dose of stimms. Would anyone care to share the drugs they were/are taking and if you could source yours elsewhere.

Thanks.

Hi Sophie,

Sorry I can't be of any help, but I'm in the exact same boat as you at the moment so wanted to bump & follow! X

My freeze all protocol:
21 days on provera to time my period
⁃ 9 days on stims (Meriofert 112.5 IU and Fostimon 75 IU)
⁃ 6 days on cetrotide and 7 cetrotide jabs for post egg collection due to OHSS risk
⁃ Double trigger (decapeptyl 0.2mg and gonasi 5000 iu)
⁃ Tablets: Metformin tablets for the whole of treatment and extras for pre FET; dexamethasone steroids due to auto immune condition; doxycline antibiotics for egg collection.

Total medication cost about £1,700

Beware of the pre treatment screening costs ladies, these were way more than we thought and you have to have them done to start treatment.

Hope this helps

I forgot to say I bought them through pharmasure which is who the clinic use. If I'd had more time i would have got them from Asda. Definitely try and get the provera from your local pharmacy as pharamsure charged me like £50 for these!

@lemons44 that's really helpful. Please could you tell me how much the screening tests all were? I wonder if I can get any of those from the GP but there might not be enough time... X

@Sofie19 our screening tests cost £990 at the clinic. I would really recommend looking elsewhere for some of them if you can. I think there's a place in London called the Doctors Laboratory? I'm not sure if they are cheaper there? But I think they do tests like this with the very quick turnaround. Could be worth looking into. Your clinic may also not want you to have all the same screening tests as I needed.
The picture on the left are the tests they wanted me to have (DH had to have the top 4 and the urine test) the one on the right is prices.
If you already have any of these I believe you can use them if they are within the last year.
