Anyone in the 2WW?

Hello, I’m 5dp5dt we had a 3BB embryo transferred which was our only embryo from this cycle. This is our third ivf cycle, we have a 3 year old daughter from an fet in 2019 and we are trying for baby number 2.

my curiosity got the better of me and I took a test which was negative 😳 I know it’s really early and not everyone gets a bfp this early but I’m already not feeling hopeful, we’ve never had a fresh transfer that worked and as much as I want a bfp I’m not sure it’s going to happen for us this time.

Hi all, I'm 12dp5dt and our test day is tomorrow 😃😱This is our second transfer from two rounds of IVF/ICSI. First round resulted in two very low grade (essentially E & F) following conventional IVF, which they transferred together fresh in August, but we had a BFN. This second round I had EC in October and we tried ICSI, which resulted in 8 x grade A-C blasts. We opted for PGT-A testing on all of them and ended up with 6 'normal' in the freezer. Our transfer on 29th Jan was a natural cycle FET of one A grade embryo. Have been on Cyclogest progesterone pessaries and been trying not to read too much into 'symptoms', but I had cramping around day 8 and not really anything else.

Yes I am! First ever round of IVF 2 fresh blastocysts transferred on Tuesday this week! So I am currently 4 days post 5DT feels like an eternity this TWW! Currently symptom spotting every minute! Working less during this time but at least when I am with clients my mind is off it for a short period!!

our test date is not until the 18th of Feb! Going to feel like the 218th!! I won’t test prior to that I will definitely hold out!

currently on cyclogest pessaries! One nipple is on fire at least one a day lol

I caved and took a FRER with fmu today and it was stark white 😞 really kicking myself now for testing early as it’s just made me feel so sad 😭

@HopefulHead sorry to hear that, it's horrible seeing negative test month after month isn't it. Maybe there is still time, how many dpt are you today?

I started spotting yesterday and it's getting heavier, period is definitely on its way 🙃

@Gingercat5090 as I am so new to this can I ask. At what point are you at spotting/period has arrived? Are you still on ivf meds when this happens

@IVF2024 hiya, I'm 8dp5dt. I'm on progesterone injections twice a day, I was told my period wouldn't come until I stop the medication but it seems to have broken through. I normally have a short luteal phase around 10 days so maybe that's why 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Gingercat5090 im 5dp5dt transfer so know there is still a chance it may change to bfp but think its more likely to stay negative to be honest as I just dont really have any symptoms :(

@HopefulHead i am also 5dp5dt my goodness the wait. I haven’t even got a pregnancy test in my house to do one if I wanted to. I will hold out and see how things go. Is this your first round? I am getting the odd twinge here and there when lying in bed but don’t feel anything when moving around! Nipples are a different story! Ouch!

@IVF2024 This is my second, I definitely had more symptoms last time and that was a BFN (definitely
not a chemical either as I tested from 4dp
Just not feeling hopeful at all :(

Hopefully the cramping and sore boobs are a good sign it’s worked for you 😃

@HopefulHead bless you. It is unbelievable the amount of us going through IVF. All of a sudden today since I have gotten up I feel completely zonked and really heavy all over like a dead weight. I could go back to bed and I am not that type of person (normally wired lol)

@IVF2024 Well if there’s ever a time you can just go back to bed it’s during the TWW 🤭

How is everyone getting on?
I am 10dpt today and I've been spotting a mixture of brown and pink since 7dpt (the day I got BFN). I feel like the progesterone injections are stopping the full flow from coming but I've been told to test again Thursday morning 🤷‍♀️

@Gingercat5090 I’m feeling really similar except for the spotting / bleeding.

Still testing negative and really feel like my period is trying to come but have to keep taking the progesterone until official test day Saturday.

Just all feels a bit cruel doesn’t it?

Hi sorry I havent posted in a few days, been unwell fighting the latest cold/flu that’s been going around which has felt like it’s lasted forever.
Been keeping myself busy with work until my otd on Sunday which can’t come quick enough I’m wishing this week away!

I hope it’s ok for me to mention that I’ve been doing daily pregnancy tests and they’re still coming up bfp, the test line is getting stronger which is making me feel hopeful, I’m so anxious of another chemical and as much as we want this to work and hubby is happy I just can’t shake this sinking feeling that something might go wrong so I’m a wreck but I can only wait and see what happens and just take each day as it comes.

So pleased to see your positives are still getting stronger ❤️ I bet it must be hard not still worrying something will go wrong but you’ve got past the first hurdle so I’ll keep everything crossed the sticky little bean keeps getting stronger ❤️

I hope you don’t mind me joining your post! I have had previous IUI and IVF around 6 years ago and after 5 or 6 attempts in total it resulted in one chemical and one atopic. We kind of put it to bed but then decided nearly two years ago to have one more go via NHS funded treatment. We are now in the two week wait and I am finding it quite hard. We had 3 good sized and one small follicle which was lower than we wanted (36 years). Of those they were only able to retrieve 2 eggs and unfortunately only one fertilised. The clinic decided as there was only one egg to get it back in as soon as really, so I went in on a two-day transfer of a 4 cell embyo. They advised it was of “top quality and exactly what they would be looking for” but it felt very hard at the time. Even more so as we had none to freeze and so this one little embryo will be our only chance due to the funding only being for one cycle and none to freeze. We just are not in the financial position to try again after so much was spent in previous years.

So here we are. 7 days past our 2 day transfer. First test date is Tuesday and we keep waiting and trying not to stress that I have had no symptoms what so ever. No cramps no spotting no soreness no headaches etc. Hardest two week wait ever!

i don’t know if this will help much but symptoms and no symptoms are not necessarily a bad thing, the symptoms I’ve been having this time around are all progesterone related, I didn’t have any symptoms when we had a successful fet that gave us our daughter apart from I ate three chocolate bars one morning 😂 and I was taking the same amount of progesterone, this time I’ve had headaches nausea, mild twinges that felt like the start of af cramps. Each cycle is different xx

our first test date is tomorrow and we have held out on all testing until then. We figured if we test early and it’s negative it would end our dream early. Now I am really struggling to keep my mind occupied however.

no symptoms, still wishing it’s a good thing.

it’s still early days and going to be another anxious 2 weeks until our viability scan. Just taking each day as it comes.

@TTC2023bb2 congratulations on your BFP. Every step is an anxious wait isn’t it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

our little 1 and only 4 cell 2 day transfer resulted in a BFP today and we were very happy although trying not to get too happy after an atopic and chemical some years ago. So instead we are focusing on our next step which will be Friday when we have the finger prick test.
