Hi all,
Looking for some advise on this one.
I am 43 (44 in April) had never been pregnant and was waiting to start my period at the end of Jan to start Natural Modified IVF with CREATE in St Pauls. I have paid deposit for a 3 cycle package where they collect and then transfer the best embryo.
I also had a low AFC and AMH. AFC was 1-2 follicles in total
Low and behold on 3rd Jan I discovered I was pregnant but miscarried 3 weeks later.
I am now confused as we have also discovered that my husbands BUPA insurance covers assisted fertility (up to £15k). I think it covers CARE And The Fertility Partnership). I am now confused should I get a refund from CREATE and go with CARE... I believe CARE don't do Natural Modified or short protocols.
Given my age and circumstances is it better to try and bank embryos and pick the best one? Or do a collection, fertilisation and fresh transfer and hope for the best. BUPA will only cover I think CARE's 2 cycle package max. What are people's thoughts on natural modified vs CARE's protocol?
I was all set on using CREATE but now the insurance cover is an option, I am wondering if a long traditional IVF protocol is better or not.
Thoughts and advise welcome.
