Progesterone pessary urgent advise!

Hi,
I am having a FET Tuesday, my clinic advises for progesterone to be inserted rectally until after transfer then can be changed to vaginal or rectal.

I had this mornings pessary and 45-50 min later urgently needed to go to the toilet.
The info in the box doesn’t mention what to do and online it says no bowel movements for 1 hour after inserting.

So do I take another??

My clinic are not open today so I can’t speak to a nurse for advice and I don’t know what would be more detrimental - having one too less or one too many 😭

Hi @HopefulHead i believe it’s about 45mins. When I had this once I took an extra peasant just to be safe.

I didn’t know if taking too many could do any harm 😬

My husband suggest cutting one in half and just doing another half, think I might do that. Just so stressful wanting to do everything right 😭

I am not a doctor but I think you can take a pretty high dose of progesterone and it won't be a problem. Better more than less.

Personally I would just take another to be on the safe side (I always make sure there's an hour between), however if you feel more comfortable doing half then I would think that'd be fine :) x

At least the general census is it’s safe to take an extra one so that’s made me feel much better! Thanks all 🥰
