Hello
I've made an appointment with a private gynaecologist as I've been unable to become pregnant for the last 13 months.
Just wondering what I should expect and really, if there's any steps before IVF? Like medications etc???
I went to my GP first last April then finally after harassing then for 11 months agreed to do blood on day 3 and day "21" (actually day 26 as I track ovulation) which were "normal"...I think I had a chemical pregnancy that month as I had a positive test and my period was late + aaaallll the usual symptoms.
I have two children so I know that people will think we're being greedy but we're both from big families and have always wanted three. As we have children already I know and understand that the nhs won't do much but I am utterly convinced I have low progesterone. I have all of the symptoms of this and have also suffered two miscarriages around 10 weeks several years before our first was born.
I've been taking supplements and managed to prevent spotting from 9dpo and now getting period at 13dpo which is a bit of a win but also don't want to do more harm than good with this guess work!
I am now 37 and have been diagnosed with a super rare disease which I'll live with long term but I'll have to start medication for at some point so I'd really like to champ on with TTC, pregnancy, breastfeeding so that I can start that medication in a couple of years.
