Hi ladies I've just taken my first dose of 7.5mg letrozole.... I conceived my son 3 years ago on 2.5 and then was upped to 5mg as I didn't respond to another 2.5 but follicles were just a tad too small on 5 so now have been increased to 7.5. In slightly nervous taking this amount. Has anyone else been on this dose and found it effective?

What are you nervous about with that dose?

I’ve done 3 months of 5m and tbh, I wouldn’t mind going higher to try increase my chances!
I’ve not had any side effects from them, and think it’s a wonder drug, it’s helped so many people get pregnant!

Hi 👋

Im due to start Letrozole next cycle - I was wondering - does it drastically change the length of your cycle so you ovulate sooner ? I have pcos and have long cycles although some months I do ovulate but not all- if I take it on a month I’m going to ovulate is this risky or will my scans show up more eggs and I can then avoid ttc of too many ?

It definitely is a wonder drug! It helped me conceive my son, I suffered with quite bad side effects on the 5mg that's all

I also have PCOS but I had to take norethisterone before taking letrozole to help induce a bleed as my periods were so irregular however, I did have a scan before I took them to check the lining but I found I ovulated around day 13-16 on letrozole which was confirmed via a scan again but I do use the clear blue monitor as well just for my own peace of mind
