Duo-sim when good AMH? PGTA testing

Hi all,
Looking for some experience with duo-simulation. I am 41 (in 2 month 42), ttc number 3 for 2 years - 4 chemicals, 2 egg collection and 6 embryos tested for PGTA, all abnormal..
So egg quality is an issue. Good AMH of 17, other hormones also good, last time collected 17 eggs..
We are thinking of another 1-2 tries with OE and that's it.
Dr abroad suggests we do duo-simulation to get more embryos, but that's difficult from logistics as need almost 1 months to be there. My dr said that with my AMH she doesn't recommend duo-sim, that they do only in special cases if low AMH, for cancer patients etc. Also she said I am a good responder and at risk of OHSS.. so she says better 2 normal cycles with a break.

I don't know what to do tbh, abroad stimulation is cheaper but at the same time stress and complications of travel (school, my job etc), but also definitely don't want to risk overstimulation.

Did anyone did duo-stim even if egg coint is very good?
Thank you 🙏

Hi, bumping this for you as I'd also like to hear of people's experiences doing this.
I enquired about my clinic in UK doing this but they wouldn't, wasn't sure if its because its an NHS hospital although I'm self funding. Also doing PGT x

Hi @Munchies30, do you also have good AMH? Have you done IVF cycles?
I am confused with all this, as what I read women with low count and bad responders to stimulation are recommended to try duo one.. So not sure if better to do two normal ones or this duo

Hey!
Yes very similar AMH to yourself.
Yes, very lucky to have a 2 year old from IVF. Been trying for baby number 2 since before his first birthday, not having any luck.
Usually get about 7-10 eggs per stimulation but quite a few follicles that don't grow as quick. Rubbish eggs unfortunately, genetically unhealthy so PGT helps us to find any healthy ones x

@Munchies30 hi, just an update to my OP - apparently in the system wrong number of eggs collected was recorded 7 instead of 17! So we had a call with a dr (it is a different clinic, not the one I am with), and he said no to duo stimulation, as I am indeed at risk of overstimulation syndrome and give good AMH.
So we will do a normal cycle with the current clinic and see after the results what to do next.
