Progesterone too high- fresh transfer cancelled

Hi,
I wondered if anyone has been through this before? I have my egg collection tomorrow morning but been informed today that my progesterone levels were too high so they will move us to a freeze all cycle.
The nurse said we have to wait for our third bleed before FET- hoping we can get more information from them to understand why it's so long. Has this happened to anyone, and how did your FET go?

TTC for just over 2 years so this felt pretty disappointing to push back further- even though I know they're doing it for the best!

Hi, I’m sorry I can’t offer advice on this, and sorry you had this disappointment, but I’m interested.

can I ask what your levels were? And did they say what the issue is if it’s high?

im starting ivf soon but just had a normal cycle with progesterone pessaries for first time and my day 21 test result is 130nmol/l. Worried if its that high during ivf they might say the same thing to me!

If the progesterone is too high before egg collection, the window of implantation is displaced and the embryo can't implant properly.
@Sierra26 progesterone levels after ovulation are supposed to be high so yours is ok. IVF cycles are different than natural ones.

@Mistymist ah of course, you’re right, I hadn’t paused to consider we’re talking about different stages in the cycle. Thanks!!
