CD41 - no period.

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what might be going on here. I have DOR, amh 0.8pmol, afc 1 at last scan. Although my FSH has never been raised of the times it’s been tested. Over the last 1-2 years my cycle has been showing a general trend towards getting shorter and my periods lighter.

I’m on day 41 of my cycle with no period in sight. My boobs have been incredibly large and sore for the past 2-3 days so I was hoping that was a sign that my period was on its way but nothing yet. They’re about two cup sizes bigger than usual, feel bruised and just full. Last month my cycle was a bit longer than normal at 33 days.

Urine pregnancy test negative yesterday and several around the day my period was originally expected (around CD 27-29) and again around CD33 corresponding with last months period.

I’d normally expect to ovulate around CD 11/12, but this month didn’t have my usual LH peak around that time, and actually had EWCM on CD 15/16 with my app predicting that I ovulated CD19.

As I know about my DOR I do keep a few FSH testing sticks in the house, and considered maybe I’m just not getting another period and my ovaries have just conked out completely, but I did an FSH strip too and there was barely a line, so FSH definitely low-low. LH also very low (as expected for the luteal phase - but just wanted to rule out the possibility that my body was attempting to ovulate twice this cycle, for some reason).

It’s a bit frustrating as my partner has agreed we can stop all precautions and see if we end up with a baby and I just don’t know what’s going on with my body! Is there anything I can do to bring on my period?

I’m not particularly stressed, I’m sleeping well, on annual leave, and my diet is fairly good, not exercising excessively (weight loss and exercise have previously interfered with my cycle). I’m 37 and a healthy BMI. I’m anaemic with low ferritin, but taking iron supplement from GP.

Was planning to order the fertility bloods and DHEA-S test via medichecks soon to see if I might benefit from taking DHEA. But of course without a period, I can’t get the fertility bloods taken on the correct day of the cycle!

Thank you.
