TLDR - failed fresh transfer in December, short luteal phase with continuous spotting in the cycle after.
I had my first IVF cycle and a failed fresh transfer in December. My OTD was 14dp5dt and i started spotting 3 days before and woke up on OTD to a full period, despite 2x400 cyclogest daily.
This is my first cycle post-IVF, i.e. since coming off all the drugs. I ovulated this month around my normal time - I didn’t monitor as closely/regularly as I usually would, but got a positive Opk, a bbt rise and ovulation pain. I started spotting around 4dpo and it continued until today, which should be 9 or 10dpo but is actually now just full flow period. I’ve only ever had spotting a day or two before my period, and a 12 day luteal phase.
I wondered whether this is normal or if anyone else experienced it? Logically, I get that IVF is a lot of messing around with hormones and it might take some time to recover, but if anyone had any idea about what specifically is going on, that would be amazing to reassure me that things will go back to normal and I don’t now have another fertility hurdle to deal with. Thanks :)
