I had egg collection yesterday following mild stims (225iu bemfola) and I ovulated my top follicle just before I went in. They managed to find it but advised it will likely be no good. They got 3 other eggs. But not hopeful. The doctor was very negative about any chance for us.
A few things during the cycle - one follicle was already 13mm on cd6 scan with a couple just behind, 11 in total.
On Saturday, I had a 20mm follicle, 16mm, 15mm and an 11mm plus 7 under 10mm. On the day they booked me in for Tuesday collection. I said are you not worried I'll lose the top one, as that seems ready? Assured no but we're checking your bloods anyway to keep a close eye. If anything changes, we'll call and you'll trigger tonight. No call.
But the Dr doing egg collection after said that my response was not as they'd expect for my amh (9) and afc (17) so we need to change protocol. She mentioned estrogen priming. I'm with Create, so think I'm on their max dose of stims, plus I'm wondering do I need a lower dose to slow down growth?
Does anyone have any experience of this please? I'm seeing my consultant next week to discuss.
This is the first of 3 cycles, but a long 6 year journey. We've had 6 losses in that time (4 natural, 2 ivf). After the 3rd cycle, we're stopping treatment / ttc, so want to make sure we give ourselves the best chance.
