Can a high FSH stop a FET from going ahead? Am feeling anxious.

I'm really hoping this is nothing and the clinic have made me anxious for no good reason.

I am planning to do a natural FET soon. I had surgery last year and the advice was to do the FET as soon as I was recovered, for the best chance of success.

I have spoken to my clinic and I thought everything was ok to go ahead. We agreed the month we would do it, and the medication regime, and so on. I was told to book the pre-FET nurse consultation to get my written plan.

They asked me to share some recent blood results (done on the NHS not the IVF clinic) - all were ok but my FSH is outside the reference range - let's say the range was 2.5-10.5, mine has come in at 12.5.

Now the clinic has emailed me to say that I cannot go ahead with the transfer / they cannot book my pre-FET consultation until I speak to my other doctor to see what he thinks about the FSH being high.

I'm worried and gutted. Surely a lot of 40+ women when doing IVF have a slightly raised FSH? As far as I know, there is no way at all to reduce FSH, so are they saying I can never have a transfer? Has anyone else experienced this being an issue?
