Melatonin & Cyclogest

Hi all,

Im currently 10dpo and absolutely exhausted. I realise it’s first week after Christmas hols and that may be a contributing factor but I wondered if the fact I’m on melatonin (for about 5 weeks now) and cyclogest (from ovulation each month for 2 weeks) might be making me feel more tired during the day. Hard to know whether it’s best to push through it and try exercise or rest.

Im due to start treatment for next round ivf in a week but need a 14dpo negative test first so just waiting for that now.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

Hi @Blossomofhope
I have been on melatonin and cyclogest together but not for weeks.
Melatonin does make me sleepy / tired but only for the couple of hours after taking it. By the morning I am usually alright if I’ve slept well. Cyclogest hasn’t made me tired at all and I’ve once been on it thrice a week 400MG for 2 weeks.

Having said that I do feel really exhausted in general and I saw my GP yesterday who said there’s lots of bugs / viruses going around plus as you said, post Xmas period is tough on us all isn’t it.

just a thought - have you had all your usual blood tests - Iron, thyroid, vitamin D? A vitamin deficiency could also be a contributing factor in feeling fatigued. Xx

@Maria12060 Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Good to know. I’m probably overthinking it. I got out for some fresh air at lunch which helped a bit. I had everything tested a few months ago but not the last few weeks. I do take vitamin D though so I’d imagine I’m not deficient in that now although I have been in the past. It’s so hard not to read into every little thing!
Here’s hoping taking all these vitamins and pills will pay off 🙂❤️
