9dt5dt HRT FET - bleeding?

Hi everyone

So I'm 9dp5dt, this is my second medicated FET, both have failed sadly.

In both cycles I have started bleeding lightly at 9dpt, even though I am taking progesterone pessaries and estrogen pills. I find this really confusing, as it's like my body is trying to have a period at '14dpo', but shouldn't the drugs be suppressing this cycle?

I would so love to hear from anyone who has experienced this, and what their Dr said about it. My clinic doesn't do any bloods during the cycle so I guess my concern is that the medication dose isn't right for me. Thanks for reading :)

I’ve had 4 transfers, the 2 failed attempts I started spotting within a few days (first fail I was actually spotting on the day of transfer so knew this had failed within just 2 days), the second failed attempt I started spotting within 7 days. Both of which I knew were period spotting rather than implantation. The heavier bleed came once pessaries had stopped.
The pessaries didn’t prevent bleeding at all on my failed ones, I think they affect everyone differently.
Maybe the pessaries dosage wasn’t strong enough for me.
Wishing you all the best on your journey.

The medications wont necessarily suppress bleeding, it's a common misconception. It's normal to start bleeding earlier if your cycle has failed unfortunately. Some people don't experience bleeding, some do. It can also vary cycle to cycle. Sympathies for your failed cycles, it's really tough.

I had bleeding before test day on a failed cycle and as above had spotting a few days before that.
As @SErunner says it can also vary from cycle to cycle.
I also had bleeding on my eventual successful cycle so it’s so hard to know what it means.

I would however push for at least checking progesterone levels at transfer, if only for peace of mind that a cycle is not hampered by something so easily remedied.

@River30 just to say I did spot on my last transfer which was successful but I knew it was different from period spotting.
On this cycle I pushed for increased progesterone, my clinic didn’t do blood tests but they happily increased the dosage due to my concern. Whether this helped with my successful pregnancy I’m not sure but worth discussing your concerns.
Good luck :)

Hi @LongerthanMrTicklesarms , thanks for replying. Its a good idea to do a progesterone test - I'll talk to them about it. Thanks
