HELP ME PLEASE - Letrozole Related

Hiya All,

I'm looking for some advice, stories and experiences from you all. I'm currently taking Letrozole only, I have been on this for many cycles with no pregnancy. I've been looking into other ways to help myself. I've come across Tamoxifen. I wondered if anyone has taken this and Letrozole together as I'm contemplating joining them up to in effect boost their effects. I've written polls on fertility apps about taking alone or together and it's a pretty even split.
No judgement please but I do not have a doctor I can ask right now so I'm getting as much knowledge as I can before I take action.
I also would love any tips and tricks you may have used that helped you get pregnant.
Some history for you all - I miscarried in September 2021 unfortunately but this was not with my current partner, since being with him we had a positive line on a test in August 2022 but were unsure if it was a positive or an evap as within days of finding out his mum had passed away and we were under a lot of stress and pressure at the time. Was diagnosed with PCOS mid teens and now have been told I either completely reversed it or was wrongly diagnosed in the first place. I have been using Letrozole since around March 2023.
Any and all help you give me will be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get sorted on meds?

shoegirl36 · 15/01/2024 11:57

@Chk1 no unfortunately I haven't been able to see anyone or get advise about meds but I haven't taken anything but the letrozole still. Also my partner has agreed that hopefully March ish time we will both get to a doctor together to start the fertility process. I just now have to work out how to lose some weight so I'd be eligible for treatments.

My fertility consultant said no point trying tamoxifen as I ovulate but I am really wanting to try it. Just to know we have tried everything

@Chk1 you're lucky in a way as you have a doctor to go through all this with. I wish I could be referred to a clinic but I'm hoping to do sort this soon but now I'm worried as I have seen there is a top bmi for treatment and I surpass this but not by much. But I have PCOS and really struggle to lose weight and keep it off. It feels like a never ending battle sometimes.
