Help needed - Where can I get Lubion?

I was hoping someone maybe able to help. I had an embryo transfer in Spain (egg donor) on 5 Dec, we've just found out it's implanted which is amazing news after 5 years of many many rounds of IVF. I've been advised to increase my progesterone. I am taking 2 x 400mg pessaries (cycolgest) and one lubion/prolutex injection, I now need to take two vials per day. I only have enough for for 9 days. The only place I can find who will accept my prescription is Stork and the cost is extortionate plus £65 service charge. I'd prefer to fly back to Spain where it is 65 euro for 14. Can anyone advise where I can source Lubion at a reasonable price? I hope to fly back to Spain in January to stock up but need a box or two now to get me through. Thanks

@P2020 if you have a private prescription try calling your nearest Asda pharmacy. I managed to source 42 vials a few weeks ago via Asda Pharmacy (in N London).

@QuillandInk1 Thank you so much, can you remember how much ASDA charged?

@P2020 just over £300 for 42 vials. They come in boxes of 7 I think!

I’m in a similar position and I sourced the extra Lubion through a local Asda pharmacy as well. They ordered it in for me and it arrived the next day. I’ve heard that different branches vary with the kind of prescription they require, but mine wanted a UK prescription with a signature, as I just had an electronic Spanish version which the clinic had emailed to me.
The Cherish clinic in Sutton Coldfield will translate an emailed prescription for £35, plus signed for postage fee, so I found that was still cheaper than using a pharmacy which would accept the original prescription. Good luck and congratulations! It’s a nice problem to have 😊

Just to add, I had brought the original supply of Lubion back from Barcelona with me, but it was still cheaper to buy it from Asda even taking the prescription fee into account x

@KLM25 Thank you for sharing your experience, that is very helpful especially with regards to how to navigate the Spanish prescription. I am surprised to hear that is was cheaper here compared to spain. I was able to get it in Spain for about €63 for a box of 14 vials. Do you recall how much Asda charged you? I think they come in boxes of 7 vials here. Thanks again.

Wow, that’s an incredible price, I can understand now why you would plan to fly back over to Spain to buy the remainder. I paid €128 for 14 vials in Barcelona. The cheapest I’ve found over the last few years is £52 for 7 vials in Prague (previous clinic). I think Asda charge about £60 for 7, they don’t mark up IVF meds apparently. The only thing is they couldn’t supply the needles and syringes but you can find them quite easily online. I’d say Asda’s your best bet if you need to buy Lubion quickly in the UK, I’ve also used Fertility2u and Ali’s pharmacy in the past, who have always been helpful but they were definitely more expensive. Good luck!
