Has anyone ever asked for no lab updates?

I’m seriously tempted to ask for this. The cycle is PGT-A freeze-all so they can just call at the end of it all if there’s a euploid embryo to transfer.

I’d rather not have my weekend ruined by a call tomorrow to say the fertilization rate was low. ‘Cos honestly it feels quite irrelevant at this point.

Can you tell I’m jaded by all this now?

Resonate with this! I received to get my BETA on the clinics recommended day as I just couldn’t face another ruined weekend! (4 miscarriages)

I think the clinic will do what you like - only problem I can see is you’ll probably get an embryo report at the end so you’ll have to see the numbers then? Best of luck

Seeing all the numbers at the end is fine. I’d just rather not have the slow depressing drip, drip of seeing the numbers go down and down. My last cycle started with really good numbers but then ended in nothing to transfer. 🤷‍♀️

We asked not to have a day 3 update on our third round. In all three rounds we were always doing quite well by day 3 and then saw a huge drop-off by day 5, so found the day 3 update just gave us false hope which got totally dashed a few days later. I much preferred not knowing. I think our clinic insisted on giving us a fertilisation update on day 1 though.

Thanks @daisychain233 . I’ve agreed with the clinic now that they won’t update until day 6 when they’ll reveal how many (assuming there are any) blastocysts have gone for testing. They do have to update then as they can’t really leave us hanging if there are non. I see their point.

I agree, those calls are brutal.
