Hi All,

Hope this post is allowed.

I have come across this petition online this morning.

I have never understood how IVF funding can be put down to the area you live in. I am entirely grateful for the fact I am entitled to 1 round of funded IVF in my area but can't help but feel it is also a little unfair how someone who lives 30 minute down the the road can be entitled to 3 rounds. IVF can be very much trial and error so putting all your hopes on it working on the first round can add more stress to an already stressful situation.

I hope this reaches some people who can spare 30 seconds to sign this petition and hopefully spread awareness

thank you all x

Petition: Fund three rounds of IVF for all couples - end the postcode lottery

Every individual and couple who require IVF should have equal access to this vital medical procedure, regardless of their geographical location. We want the Government to fund three rounds of IVF for all couples, to ensure equal access to IVF.

Thanks for sharing this! I was also only entitled to one round and had to fight for that to include 1 transfer which failed, meaning we now have the extra stress of having to fund treatment.
However, the clinic we’re at is an hour from us, and that area has more rounds funded so the majority of other nhs patients there get a lot more than us and it feels utterly unfair.
So I find the whole postcode lottery thing so frustrating.

I'm sorry to hear your round wasn't successful, sending love 💚
I agree, it is really unfair, like I said I am so grateful for the 1 round I do get funded I just think it should be the same for everyone x
